It’s That Time...
The annual leave cutoff for General Government employees is payperiod B26 which ends June 19. If you have any questions about maximum annual leave balance carryovers, please visit Rules & Regulations and navigate to the accural chart in Section 8.5, Part D. In addition, as of June 20, if eligible, your new Floating Holiday balance will be available to you.
Get Ready for Phase II of HRMS/STEP!
Everyone has been so focused on the rollout of Phase I of HRMS/STEP that you may not remember there is a Phase II. The components of Phase II are:
- Learning Management System (LMS)
- iRecruitment
LMS will be a new resource for employees to register for classes and track their training/development history through HRMS/STEP. Generally in the past we have thought of this in terms of Employee Development and Training’s classes in the areas of Leadership/Professional Development, Customer Service, Management, and Technology. This will still be true, but LMS will also allow you to sign up for other classes, like the County’s Fitness/Wellness classes.
iRecruitment, a joint venture with Schools, focuses on the electronic elements of the employment and application process. This module will impact supervisors and managers who hire. It will also be important to employees who apply for positions internally. Once iRecruitment goes live, all current employees will apply for positions within Henrico County (General Government or Schools) through their Employee Direct Access. More details will be coming this summer!
In addition, performance appraisals this year will be completed using HRMS/STEP. More information on training for supervisors will be distributed soon.
